Ever wanted to drive an ex-main line Diesel locomotive or Diesel Multiple Unit?

The Barry Island Railway offers you the opportunity to drive (under supervision) a heritage Class 14 diesel hydraulic locomotive, or a first generation DMU set, on the Barry Island Railway.

Tariff

Half day:

 DMU (4hrs AM or PM) = £100

D9521 (4hrs AM or PM) = £110

 Full day:  

DMU = £125 inc light lunch.

D9521 = £130 inc light lunch.

Both DMU & D9521 (all day) = £150 inc light lunch.

The popular “Evening Taster” session (2hrs):

 DMU = £75

D9521 = £80
