dmu picSaturday 7th June; DMU Running Day

"The first DMU event of the year "

Come along for our special enthusiasts day on Saturday 7th June 2008.

Class 108, Class 117 and Class 115 units will all be running, some in 4 car formation.

Tail loads will be attached on some workings.

**Selected trains running on the new extension to Gladstone Bridge Halt.**

Free Working Timetables and information sheet available. A revised WTT can be downloaded HERE.

Tickets available from Barry Island station booking office on the day. First train departs (Barry Island) at 1041hrs, last train at 1700hrs.

Buffet and shop open.

Child/Sen return   -   £2      Child/Sen all-day rover  -  £5  

A 2 - day rover will be made available covering the DMU Day and the Transport Fesitval.

Buses, cars, motorcycles etc with FREE classic bus rides around the local area.

1000hrs until 1700hrs.

Diesel & Steam hauled trains will be in operation on an intensive service linking Barry Island , Hood road and Woodham Halt. A late fitness test saw Pamela pass her steam test on Friday and she is now rostered for duty on Sunday.

The "Barry Eight" collection of steam locomotives open to the public at the former Barry Steam Shed (88C).

Heartbreaker - which is dry and approx. 7.8% which won the Bath & West show this year.
 
Blaengawney - which is med and 7.2% and won bronze at Camra nationals this year.
