"A Day out with Thomas"
We are delighted to anounce that "Thomas the Tank Engine" will be visiting Barry Island again in 2008 on the following dates.
Come and see "Thomas" (and "Daisy") and meet Sir Topham Hatt as he tries to control the antics of the little blue engine!
Advance booking strongly advised! This is one of the busiest events in the railway's event schedule!

A great opportunity to meet that cheeky chappie "Thomas" the Tank Engine. "Daisy" the DMU will also be available to shuttle Thomas' friends from the Waterfront to Barry Island.

 "Thomas" shop:
We stock a large variety of Thomas toys, models, souvenirs etc and we are the largest stockist within the area. Our shop is adjacent to the Buffet at Barry Island Station. Both the buffet and the shop will be open for all events.

You can buy any "Thomas" item from us during normal office hours by contacting the Booking Office. You can also ask us to order you any "Thomas" item, whether it is normally stocked or not! Call our "Thomas" specialists on 01446 748816 between 9am and 4pm Mon to Fri.
Look very hard and you can see the Fat Controller! (you can just see his hat..)
 2008 Timetable:
Trains depart Barry Island at the following times each day of the event.
1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600.
"Daisy" operates a shuttle service from the special "Thomas Park and Ride" station at Hood road (the Waterfront). Trains leave the "Thomas Park and Ride" station at 40 minutes past the hour. First "Daisy" shuttle leaves Hood road at 1040hrs in time for the first Thomas departure at 1100.
FREE parking, no traffic queues and the "Daisy " shuttle is included in the price of your ticket.
You may book a place on any of the above "Thomas" trains. Advance booking is strongly advised as these trains can fill very quickly.

Book in advance and save money. You can buy a ticket on the day (subject to availability) but tickets bought on the day will attract a 50p surcharge.

There are three simple options you can take;

-By calling the special Thomas Booking Line at our Barry Island office for Debit/Credit Card transactions. Tickets can be collected at the advance bookings desk on the day of travel.
-You can also book online using Ticket Web.
